Christmas Tree Cards

This is a simple and effective Christmas card that can be made by your toddler or child. There are several stages of this Christmas card activity but the majority of these stages your toddler or child will be able to do independently.

Stage One:

For this stage of the Christmas card activity your toddler of child needs to paint either card or paper with green paint. I used card because it can cope with the generous amount of paint my 2 year old likes to use.

Stage 2:

Splatter glitter paint onto the painted green card. We used a mixture of paintbrushes and old vitamins syringes to complete this stage.

Stage Three:

Once the green card or paper has dried, cut out as many Christmas trees as possible. I completed this stage while my little one napped but if you have an older child they would be able to do this. Once the Christmas trees have been cut out, stick them onto card. I used red card to give it a more festive feel.

Stage Four:

Stick gold stars onto the Christmas tree and surrounding card. For this stage I modeled how to do this for my son but once he knew what he was doing I left the cards and stickers out on his craft table, so he could stick when he was in the mood.
