Valentine's Sensory Dough

I love a themed activity and there are so many options for fun and engaging sensory activities connected to Valentine’s Day. This toddler valentine's playdough invitation to play activity is a wonderful way to explore the theme of love and offers a great opportunity to have a shared experience and chat as you both build different Valentine’s scenes.

Set Up

To set this toddler valentine's playdough invitation to play activity up, I used red playdough which I mixed some rose essential oil into. I then collected various loose part play resources; pink buttons, rose petals, gold hearts and heart shaped cookie cutters.

My toddler really enjoys these kind of activities and needs no encouragement to come and explore these types of invitation to play set ups. He was particularly taken by the gold hearts and kept taking the gold hearts that I put on my sensory dough. He found this hilarious.

My son’s finished Valentine’s scene. This is a simple but fun and engaging valentines themed playdough activity which is great for toddlers and older kids too!
